Damn, boarerline beat me to the "JONG", guess I'll have to hit up the other thread.![]()
I agree about the moguls, I left Calif back in 90' because of the bad bump lines.(and I didn't know about touring) As for banning boarders, HA! You idiot, boarders don't ruin the bump lines, it's the gaper skiers. When I worked at Alpine, I was in the BC not fucking being a bump weenie. You suck for suggesting such a narrow-minded solution!Originally Posted by Truckee Joe

Silly rabbit - bumps are for kids.
After spending two seasons at Alpine, I would consider it more of a hike for your turns type of place. Just go up the road to Squaw if you want bumps. I believe they have a few medal winners who ski there.
why make ten turns when you only need to make NONE!
I've never fully understood the boarders/bumps debate. Back in the 80's when we first started seeing a lot of boarders at Blackcomb, we used to bitch about how they'd scrape massive amounts of snow off the hill, but bumps were never an issue. Snowboarders can't really 'ski' bumps, so they aren't in real bump lines too often--sure, sometimes there'll be a few loitering in the bumps, but I don't think bumps are very fun for snowboarders.
I've also heard that snowboarders actually improve bump lines through their sideslipping, by rounding them off (unlike bad skiers on short skis who create ledges).
Anyway, if you're a good bump skier, you can actually make even a shitty bump line ski pretty well. I can almost remember being able to do that once upon a time ago...It's not the bumps fault, it's your shitty skiing that's to blame.
But snowboarders should be banned everywhere for wearing ugly clothing that doesn't fit. Double bannings for gorilla steeze jib kids.

Yeah, but they're spelling-Nazis, and who wants to JONG out with them?Originally Posted by elevens
Dude, if you want better bumps, you just need better skiers making them. Look at Mary Jane. Snowboarding is allowed, best bumps in the world. MJ's bumps happen naturally because some of the best bump skiers in the world ski them.
Want bumps? Just move to Colorado.

i agree. you can get the dicks in a bag, but you must present them in a bowl, especially if you are having company. Bad_roo will confirm this is the proper etiquette.Originally Posted by iceman
You certainly wouldn't want to buy them in a bowl. Delivering them to person who deserves them is far more sanitary in a bag.

Do you dip those in ranch dressing? Bbq sauce? Are they served warm?
