    New AT Ski

What's up yall? So need some opinions here...I sold my 189 Seth Pistols as my touring skis b/c they were just too long and big for hauling up big giant mountains, and doing steep kick-turns on skintracks just sucked. Ordered a pair of 179 Hippy Stinx to replace them but now I find out they're backordered till who knows when.

Sooo...I really want/need an AT ski right now (I'm actually taking the tele setup touring in the morning, gonna be scary), so I'm looking at a few options. Definitely want a 90+mm waist...Blizzard Titan XXL, Rossi T4, Line Mothership Flite are some I'm considering. Wanted to look at the Sugar Daddy but they're out. Any other thoughts? Thinking light-ish, 180-185 size range. Thanks!

Such a super ski, that i just got (gasp!) another pair of 173cm
to be my park ski.Such a yammy, that ski is.

Like a pocket rocket on stereoids.

Others considerable could be Teledaddies, or the televersion of
    Völkl´s Karma, T3 or something.

    Teleskis rule.

I think evogear.com is selling last year's K2 Shuksans for $199. Maybe you can have a big AT setup and a small and light AT setup?

Spam--Yeah I've got a bunch of friends on Havocs and have skied them myself--great skis! However I want something a bit fatter and DAMN they're ugly! Heh.

jb--shuksan would be a sick superlight AT setup but then I'd have to get Dynafits, MegaRides, and all that crap==$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!! Maybe in a couple years if I'm baggin 14ers every other day...

So I made the call today--Mothership Flite it is! Should be a sick light fat ride, I'm stoked

No shuksan's on evogear now... If they were there for 199 I would be buying them now for my spring chuting ski.

I'm doing the same debate currently. I'm on Sugar's w/ homemade risers and DII's. A bit big and heavy for long tours. Fine for 3000 vert, but not for 5000vert Rogers pass tours. Felt my knee joints just kill after a while.

So the beaters at K2 went ahead and billed/shipped the order for the 179cm Hippy Stinx today after I'd cancelled it, AND my 182cm Mothership Flites are already on the way, ARGH! Idjits!

What's the call between these two? I need to refuse delivery of either the K2 or the Lines...I'm sure the Lines will be lighter, but K2s probably a little more stable/faster? Whatever it's my touring ski so I'm not going huge on it and lighter weight would be nice...grrr this just pisses me off. Opinions between the two??

p.s. looked up weights: Lines-- 8.1 lbs, K2s -- 9.2 lbs hmmm that's 1/2 lb per foot when touring

Any chance you could send the $$ to a bro in another town that might have your sticks in stock and have said bro ship them to you?

For example I saw a pair of hippy stinx in Burlington the other day. Don't know price or size but my guess is the 179. Shipping from VT to where ever you are probably would not be that much. 20-25 $$ maybe. Maybe there is someone closer to you that could take a look... just spitballing ideas.
