Doood, this is pretty much what USC faced a couple of weeks ago in Pullman and it didn't faze them a bit. Somehow, I suspect that Utah is even less likely to be bothered by these conditions. Best of luck anyway.

    BWAHAHA HAHAHA!

It's been pretty warm here this week, but they're used to it. Don't think it's too much of a concern. We'll talk next week.

I've been to Laramie on multiple occasions and I know there is not a lot to do there but please I ask you please, put the crack pipe down cause that will kill ya. How's Bramlett feeling this week? You better hope Raterink can escape the mother fuckin pain train (sorry xover) that is about to hit him square in the jaw. That kid Bouknight looks and sounds like a nice player but lets face it, He hasn't lined up against the competition he will be lining up against Saturday. At this point you better hope Wyoming scores first and often with a big stress being on OFTEN . I don't think Meyer will be calling off the dogs this time so I see Utah by,oh,say 31!

P.s. Bramlett went to the best high school in Wyoming and for that I give him credit. If he steps on the field Saturday his knees won't be knocking but Utah's defense will ring his bell big time I have a feeling.

Don’t get me started on the weather thing. That is a lame excuse and if somehow Wyoming pulled off the upset of the year weather would not have anything to do with it.

Oh yeah, looking forward to meeting you up at Alta over Thanksgiving.

Ok, ok, I know what are chances are....

But I love this state and I love this school. I grew up here, I graduated here and I root for my boys no matter what...

But I have to tell you... there IS something about this place. It's not like any other venue. It's kinda like the old days at Mile High, you know? Our stadium only holds half as many people as yours does, but we are twice as loud. When the cold comes rippin' through, it hits you to the bone. And we are at... 7220 feet. A few years ago, BYU was ranked 12th and came in here in November. It was an evening game, and we had sucked all season. We broke them in half.

I have absolutely no doubt that the Utes are for real, and I have alot of respect for them. But make no mistake, the Pokes will be fired up like they haven't been in a long time. They will be ready for a bloody battle. What makes us dangerous is... we have NOTHING to lose. We have been so lousy for so long, that many of us have forgotten what it was like way back when. A time when we were feared. A time when we were respected. None of the players on the current team have experienced a winning season since they came here.

Sure, we have a modest stadium, in a place most people dismiss as a wasteland. We have a much smaller student body that the other schools in the conference. Hell, when War Memorial Stadium is full, it is LITERALLY the THIRD LARGEST CITY in Wyoming. When our basketball arena is full, it's the 5th largest. But we are truly a state-wide team. We have no other university, no pro teams, etc. The entire state stands behind the Cowboys, and they represent us. We never stop fighting, we never give up, and we give it our all. We WILL NOT roll over and die. We will not go away. We know we are the underdogs, but we will be in your face and will fight like the whole world hangs in the balance.

This is the last homestand for alot of boys who have been through hell in the past few years.

We have a special kind of pride here. Not because we win or lose. Not because we are ranked or because we have national attention. We love our Cowboys, and that's enough.

You guys may very well win by 30 points. Or 40. Or 50.

    But then again...

You may get stomped into the frozen prarie like never before.

This IS Laramie, Wyoming. We're ready for you and all that you bring. Just as we have been for the past hundred years.

    *****

Then, like I said, I'm super stoked to hit LCC on Thanksgiving!!!

    ------------
Edit: BTW, I don't really hate you guys. If any of you are coming out, let me know. We can grab a beer after the game or something...

My sister actually graduated from the U and is working on her PhD there. (Masters at Ohio State). She is coming out with some of her friends, so I have to be a neutral host, somewhat.

We are actually sitting in section B next to the Utah section - my sister wanted to sit over that way. I'll most likely be wearing a TGR beanie; either my black one with the wyo flag on the back or the orange and blue "Teton" logo on it. Unfortunately, none of my warm (ski) clothes are brown & gold, so I'll probably be wearing a blue down coat (but NO red )

    Cheers!

I'm drining in Sat, leaving right after the game. There is a group of about 15 of us going. I don't think we will head straight for the stadium. I'll keep my eyes out for you, but you know how that goes.

Weather is the great equalizer in football. However, there is no chance that Wyo is going to pull it off. Low 30's? Big deal. Snow? Big deal. Elevation? Big deal. There is no team in the conference that prepares the way the Utes do. Wyo is having a decent year and will more than likely go to a bowl game, but look at who you have lost to: Texas A&M by what, 31 points? (Utah beat them by 3 touchdowns, and that is with a garbage time touchdown by A&M). You lost to BYU. You lost to Colorado St (in case you missed it, Utah just beat CO St. by 4 touchdowns). The spread in this game is 24 points!

I have to back up the pokes here. 72 twenty I like the enthusiasm, keep the dream alive man.
Now with that being said, I don't think for one minute Wyoming will win. However some freaky things have happened in War Memorial stadium the last two years. Look at the CSU game last year. Wyoming scores a late 4th quarter touchdown to go ahead. Then the skies open up and visibility is so poor that Bradly Vanpelt couldn't even find his dick without a fog light. It wouldn't suprise me if this game is close and the gods look favorably upon us.

That--my friend--was very possibly the funniest sentence ever posted on this message board. Laughed so hard I damn near dislocated my lungs.

People in the village, Watch the children play
At the sight of a stranger, They call the kids away
Just leave that man alone, I hear the mothers say
    Too long in the wasteland
    Too long in the wasteland
    What's made him that way

I hadn't intended, To bend the rules
Whiskey don't make liars, It just makes fools
So I didn't mean to say it, But I meant what I said
    Too long in the wasteland
    Too long in the wasteland
Must have gone to my head

Jet trails in the sunset, a long way away
cuttin' cross the horizon, At the edge of the day
And it calls out to me, Come fly away, I've been
    Too long in the wasteland
    Too long in the wasteland
I believe I'll have to stay
Sorry I cant accept your gracious invitation, Gotta ski & hang with the lady.

SHould be a good game, good luck.

We have a new guy in the Pistol Pete suit...

The usual guy just got shipped off to Iraq.

I guess we'll see if the new guy can land the backflip off the horse.

"War Memorial Stadium, capacity 33,500 was built in 1950 and remains one of the top football facilities in America. A beautiful manicured natural grass field sets off this breathtaking stadium, which at an elevation of 7,220 feet is the highest Division I football stadium in America. With the crowd noise, elevation and "Cowboy Tough" Wyoming teams, War Memorial Stadium has long been one of the most feared places to play in college football. The Cowboys have won over 70 percent of their games at War Memorial Stadium. War Memorial Stadium is no stranger on the national scene, as ESPN, CBS, and ABC annually broadcast Cowboy games from this magnificent facility."

Y'alls got some good young talent and should be a pretty good team next year. Oregon (The Zeros, Quacks, Floaters) might be too, depending on how good the JC felons they recruit are and how many they can get paroled in time for Fall practice.

Who would of thought Wyoming would not want to come out of the locker room . Delay due to power outage, I don't think so. I think the Cowboys are scared to death right now . Let's get it on already!!

So much for a surprise upset. Final Score Utah 45, Wyoming 28. The only surprise for me is that the margin of victory wasn't more.
