They're everywhere here in suburbia. Worst they do (for the most part) is fuck with the garden but they're damn entertaining to watch. Like natures parkour stuntmen.

Excellent. It’s a little further out to your neck of the woods but next time I set a trap I’ll bring them out your way. Sunday dinner tomorrow? I’ll trap them fresh for you. The fuckers have killed most of our Japanese maple and cut huge holes in our cedar hedge.

Squirrels are just rats with good PR.

So when we lived in Santa Cruz, there was a giant walnut tree in the alley behind the house, and the limb rats owned that tree. There were mostly rentals back there and new renters were always moving in and they usually had a cat with them. Pretty soon after, the new cat on the block would get lured up into the tree after one of those fluffy tailed bastards, and then would get teased out onto the highest and farthest branch as possible before the squirrel would bail out leaving the cat squalling up on some thin branch way the fuck out there.

Just did a lawn renovation in my backyard where i dethatched, aerated, spread some top dressing soil and overseeded. The MFing squirrels decided that every single goddamn plug hole from aerating was a half-finished nut hole and now i have about 1000 holes in my lawn that the squirrels have dug out. fuck!

    Looks like May.

As in, may rain, may snow, may be really nice.

I know! We must be a few blocks apart. I missed the shot of that close pass.
