There's an outfitter in NZ that offers rides in those things down the Kaituna river. Any gaper can hop in the back and paddle over a 22 foot waterfall.
I can barely roll my own shit, I'd hate to have to do it for two people!
That crashing wave came out of nowhere. I think that's one of the greatest things about flood stage rivers, the waves that just appear out of nowhere, and you just have to hold on for dear life.
Still not sure about the tandem thing. Looks fun but seems like it's better for a "couple" than just 2 dudes. Everytime I take one out I seem to have more fun with my wife than I do when me and my bud take it out....just sayin.
