Look who we met today

I never go to this shop here in town, but when I heard Stein Erikson was going to be there I figured I had to since I may never be at Deer Valley. Very cool, gracious guy. I thanked him for everything he's done for the sport, and he said "It's been nothing but fun."
Kreitler was there too, and we spoke for 10 or fifteen minutes--there's an outside chance I maggotized him (he thought this board was still down). It was funny to watch people who didn't know who he was ask for posters. The words of one, "Are you a freestyle skier?...Oh, so you're not a racer?" A few very foreign runners (for the marathon) had their pictures taken with him--I have no idea why. I'll never understand why people are fascinated with 'celebrities' they know nothing about.
Oh yeah, a Nordica girl was there too, but I didn't pay any attention to her (also not nearly as attractive as she appears on the poster).

I don't know if I should buy the tickets online or at the door. I would hate to not get in. Happened to me at the Hotdog movie party at Squaw. Missed a good party. Ain't missing this one though.

Stein always has (had) perfect hair.
I was in line at Deer Valley once with the ex, and spotted a person up ahead of us who I thought was a really well kept older woman, but it was Stein in all brand new stuff and Bogner and the hair. So we decided to follow him, but he was just giving a real estate (slopeside) tour to a yuppie couple.
I really wanted to see him do a worm turn.

Dex- That's cool, especially that you took the kid. Now she'll be enamored by guys like Stein. He probably dug meeting someone who knew who he was and who shares the stoke like you do.
