I never go to this shop here in town, but when I heard Stein Erikson was going to be there I figured I had to since I may never be at Deer Valley. Very cool, gracious guy. I thanked him for everything he's done for the sport, and he said "It's been nothing but fun."
Kreitler was there too, and we spoke for 10 or fifteen minutes--there's an outside chance I maggotized him (he thought this board was still down). It was funny to watch people who didn't know who he was ask for posters. The words of one, "Are you a freestyle skier?...Oh, so you're not a racer?" A few very foreign runners (for the marathon) had their pictures taken with him--I have no idea why. I'll never understand why people are fascinated with 'celebrities' they know nothing about.
Oh yeah, a Nordica girl was there too, but I didn't pay any attention to her (also not nearly as attractive as she appears on the poster).
