    Bro model shipping

I'm sure it's in this forum somewhere, but does anyone know what the shipping delay is on the Bros? Looking to order but am gonna be moving soon...

Well, there has been a delay, for which I apologize profusely to everyone who has been so patient. The first batch had topsheets that were out of line, and we want to ship perfect skis, so we just got done ripping the molds apart and realigning things and will begin pressing again tomorrow. So at this time, I feel like a total schmuck, because it will be ten more days before we can press, finish and ship the next batch.

So, to answer your question - if you ordered now, your skis would ship in about two and a half to three weeks.

I'm really sorry about this delay, Bro Modelers. I can't even sleep at night knowing you're all waiting.

Splat, delicately convey to the nervous nellies that quality and process supercedes a ship date.

We've all dealt with deadlines and know what a total pain in the neck it is, so keep cool, don't sweat the delays and focus on doing it right.

meh, I'm in no big hurry. All I know is all the people at the shop I'm gonna mount em at are excited for em. One of the girls there said if they're anything like the gotamas they just got, she might have to fondle them excessively

It'll be at least early Dec before my Bro's hit the slopes with or without the delay so no worries from this customer. Skiing on them would require winter to arrive which is the truely critical thing sorely missing from my short term future.

Hope that little error didn't cost you guys too much. At least you'll have some blems to throw around to influential folks.

Got any plans for the blems? I suppose if you asked really nicely, I might be willing to take a pair off your hands

Much to their dismay....errrr....pleasure....errrrr.....anticipa tion, PM Gears owners/partners will have to get by with that 3/16" offset. But we are refusing to finish our own skis until everyone else get theirs first.
Because we love you all that much.

    Splat, no worries.

We still need a big storm to hit before I would even think about taking the Bro's to the slopes and the weather forecast isn't looking to promising.

Splat, I'm moving at the end of the month, shipping addy will change. Sending PM with details.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I hope 2P doesn't have any spare binders laying around, or my new Bros might be well used by the time I see them.

    I do!

When you called and you want me to bring em down half way so it is easier to get them, you did specify keeping them new.

Almost there, Tom. Pressing again, probably about 30-40 pair, then we'll finish and ship, hopefully this week, then repeat until done.

Again, thank you to all of you for being so patient. I have received only one irate email and cannot blame the sender for feeling put off, given our lateness. Believe me, we want these Bros on the slope every bit as badly as you owners. They are our best advertisement.

Excuse, please, I have to crawl back into my leg irons.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the update Splat. With my S/N I expect mine to be in the 2nd bulk pressing so a couple more weeks will be OK. Hey, with all products you can have it fast, cheap, or good. We're going for good and cheap, so fast is on the back burner.

Another saying I believe is that you can "take the time to do it right, or MAKE the time to do it over again."

The shop tech who's going to be bolting on a pair of Tyrolia Free Flex Plus 10.0s with extra wide brakes is looking forward to carefully measuring and drilling as appropriate. He used to race back east, ended up as the ski team tuner and plans to "take way too long" for the initial wax up.

Tom, if you have a tech guy like that, maybe you could see if you notice a difference between a 1 degree and a 2 degree base bevel on the grooms.
To date, we've tuned the demos at 1 base, 2 edge, but I want to check out a 2 degree on the base bevel. I know they like a little detune on the tips, but haven't had enough time to fully check how much is best. Hoping some guys like you and your tech can help us find the ultimate tuning recommends...
