    Hiring: Fish Tech - Alaska

Looking for a fish tech (or two)- mainly sampling salmon smolts via weirs, rotary screw traps, and fyke nets in various remote locations throughout Alaska. Must be available ASAP - have a clean driving & criminal background, able to work and live in field camps for long durations, in bear/bug country. Firearms, first-aid, CPR training preferred.

Need to have a background in biology, prefer at least an undergrad background. Prior fish sampling experience preferred. Can get someone in the field tomorrow and guarantee work through the end of July with a high probability of additional work available. Data analysis/writing skills would pretty much ensure further employment.

Duty station is Anchorage. Housing (outside of field work) not provided, also not paying to fly anyone up. Pay is $16-20/hr +OT dependent upon qualifications/experience.

Contact me via pm if qualified & interested.

He has one in BB working for ADF&G.

Mostly I don't expect anything to come of this, but if there is a mag just out of school itching for a job and some Alaskan adventure I thought it would be cool to hook them up. Plus they could stay for ski season (which hasn't actually ended yet).

What river is he on? I worked out there for four seasons with ADF&G.
