I just read about this and it breaks my heart. That's such a sad story. She sounds like a tough girl, and hopefully she'll get through this. It's great to see lots of support flowing her way - apparently tomorrow there will be a website up and running - www.bethanyhamilton.com.

I read that last night. Not only does it break my heart, it also freaks me out that that's the same beach where we were swimming a couple weeks ago.

Her website it up and running. Be prepared - it made me really sad. She was/is clearly a RIPPING surfer. Cannot believe she's only 13. wow. Impressive stuff.
