    ----------------------------
    Ski Brule is OPEN!
The resort that brings you the longest season and the earliest opening kicks off the snow season November 9. With the arrival of snowmaking temperatures, the Ski Brule snowmaking crew has been working round the clock to be the first to open. Snowmaking will continue and Ski Brule will open additional terrain as soon as possible. Snow sports are available on Log Jam & Bunny trails, serviced by Bunny Rope Tow and Big Bear Chairlift.

In celebration of being the first to open,
    lift tickets are FREE
    November 9 through November 12
FREE lift tickets are available at Bears Den Pro Shop.
Ski Brule provides the best possible conditions at all times in the region. Ski Brule is the first to open and will be the last to close. This promise was made to snow lovers and affects every aspect of Ski Brule’s operation. Everyone working at Ski Brule is aware of the commitment and understands how their work contributes to this promise. It starts with snowmaking; if the conditions are right, the Ski Brule snowmaking team can make enough snow to open two runs in 24 hours. It continues with grooming: state of the art grooming equipment with veteran operators. Ski Brule takes every opportunity to ensure this promise. The result, Ski Brule offers more snow days in the Midwest! Ski Brule is your snow resort!

ha! ski brule, baby! growing up in the 'burbs of Chicago, my buddies and I would head up to "the Brule" a few w/e's every season, as the trash heaps and small hills of IL & WI just didn't cut it. we would rent a condo, buy like 5 cases of Buckhorn beer long-necks w/our fake ID's and proceede to drink all day/night and ski the Brule....classic.....good memories....

Damn, Ski Brule. That brings back some memories. Used to go up there (and Powderhorn/Whitecap/Indianhead) with my family when I was just a wee little rough rider also from the Chicago 'burbs. In that roughrider mode, our little posse of 5th graders (or whatever) were the annoying ones bombing down Spillway, Otterslide and Icewater, chinese downhill style.

Burn it up if you go.

I've skied Indianhead and Powderhorn before, too. My uncle lives in Bessemer.

hahaha, good for them. Not a terrible hill either. I am just glad I moved out west so I don't have to get excited for this photo like I would have 2 years ago.

Whenever I see a ski map from the east coast, it is always so simplistic - almost like a "SouthPark" style. Why is that? Just not worth the money to drop on detailed maps?

Leave it to someone from Coloradee to think Michigan's Upper Peninsula is on the east coast

Whitecap, Big Powderhorn, Black Jack, Indianhead, Porcupine, Mt. Ripley, Cliffs Ridge, Ski Brule, Pine Mountain (w/the 60 meter jump!).

Like a cartoon movie from the 60's. What nostalgia!
