Has anybody heard of Simon and Fraser University

I looked at the website, it looked kinda boring, can anybody say something about the school, the skiing or the fishing in the area?

    Angry

It's Simon Fraser University, abreviated to SFU, which appropriately also means Shut the Fuck Up.

Which is what you need to do, MORON.

If you mean Simon Fraser University, near Vancouver, there is a lot of fishing and skiing nearby.
Whistler is 2-3 hours away, North Shore mountains are right there, etc etc
Education wise it is ok, you will learn something. Hit up Langara College for their pro photographer program, that would be cool.

I spent 2 dismal years there.

For one thing it's made of almost entirely concrete. It's very very grey. The architecture is interesting.

It's located in the vancouver area where it rains alot, and of all the places in vancouver, it rains the most at SFU.

When it's nice, it's pretty nice, it's the highest location in vancouver so the view can be pretty good.

Local skiing would be 1.5 hours to whistler/blackcomb which offers a $384 seasons pass to all post-secondary students registered full-time. There are the north shore mountains as well, most of which accessible by city bus, but nothing near whistler quality. Also, very wet.

I dont fish much, but there's lots of lakes and rivers within an hour or two and less, and i imagine there's fish in some of them. Plus the ocean is less than an hour in the other direction.

Notorious for having little to no social atmosphere. Though there is a pub. And the ski club is good people.

And last of all the most important page to visit regarding sfu, http://www.sfu.ca/~ski

The school itself is good depending on which program you're in.

If you have any more questions, just ask.

That bastard, I had just finished up a wonderful post in there telling him how to remove his head from his ass, and then he goes and erases the whole thing. Some people have no respect for the amount of time others put into this place.

Akpm, You would pass up SFU(having everything the world of B.C. has to offer at your footstep) to consider going to Juneau? You truly are a FUCKTARD!

You would be better off staying home, going to UAA, and letting mumsy
    cook your supper!
Why? cause Juneau can be a hole! some winters Eaglecrest never opens, and always closes early.

PS: SFU, UBC and BCIT are excellent places to attend university or college. Most people would kill to go to school in the lower main land.

Yeah, but the government pays people like AKPM to stay in Alaska, for good fucking reason.

Even though you're on ignore I had to look at this one. It's Simon Fraser University as in the guy's name, as in the mighty Fraser River which flows by the campus. There is no 'and' in the name.

If you can't read you can't go so don't worry about it.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

To see the Fraser and River in full spate is really something.
