glidelites. because the hardware actually works, and so does the glue, and they have a bovine feel about them.
Yes, but I've heard that it doesn't stay on that well due to the twin. The Jak has that skin attachment point, but these don't.
My clipfix's kinda suck, half the time they just drag along the ground behind me.
Can I file a notch into the ski without screwing it up?
that would greatly depend on your manual dexterity. i would say that you may put a notch in there, but i don't know if you can.Originally Posted by homerjay
if i started notching my tails for skins i might also consider some rivets. lines have a tendency to delam, or so i hear.
Take a piece of elastic cord, make a loop through the clipfix tab, attach it to the rear of your binding, clipfix doesn't come loose anymore.Originally Posted by homerjay
Yo Homes! IMO the best deal for twin tips is to get standards and either a G3 tail kit or a Glidelite tail kit. The Ascension skin is superior to the bovine skin and the ClipFlix tail rig sucks. Their is an old thread on this somewhere.
Duct tape will keep those tails attached to the twins. Yeah it looks ugly, but it gets the job done. Just wrap her around once near the hardware and you'll be good to go.
I use ascension skins with clip fix on my twin tips (PRs) with no problems ever of the clip fix coming off the tails. I like the ascension skin it seems to stick well to the ski and grip well on the snow. Much beter than my old Pomoca skins.

G3 skins use the same (excellent) tail hardware as the Glidelite. Evidently they've fixed their glue because I have had no problems. Grip seems about the same as the Ascensions.
Looks like I'm getting the cow's.
One more question: Will the tip loop on the 120 Glidelite fit over the big fatty tip of the Mothership?
