    east vs west

An old story, but pictures as evidence, posted this week

I love where I live, but I wish Albany had nonstop flights to Denver and SLC.

Definitely no contest, but you gotta make the most of what you have. I'm grateful to have any snow at all. And happy that I'll be in UT in about a month!

    I'll agree with sprite.
If I could, I would move out west.

Well, if I could supplant everything that keeps me here - Job, Family, Friends, City I love, etc. to the Wasatch... I'd be God, and you all would be praying to me. That would be interesting, 'cause then I could tell Dubya that he needs to run around in his underwear and do the hokey-pokey in the Rose Garden.

Sure, that bottom picture looks enticing, but totally more opportunities to score some bush at Shinjuku Vo-tech U. Just look at that front row!

I thought this thread was going to be about the NBA...

umm...don't you mean the second row? I'll bet sucking down jelly shots while shouting devotions to the Great Leader would loosen up those cute little thangs.

    I LOVE COLLEGE!!!!

But on the topic - what do you guys think of the theory of thought that skiiers who grow up in the East learn better fundamentals etc....? I've always bought this as someone who grew up over here. Sure we don't have the vert or the big cliffs but we got ICE! After mastering the use my edges on ice faces and grinding through ice bumps, when I head out west it's heaven for me. I can actually focus on the skiing and not on the next time i'm gonna catch an edge or hip check. I feel i've gained more of an appreciation for skiing by starting at the bottom so to speak. I mean come on, if you can love skiing on classic eastern ice and cold days then you REALLY love skiing. I'm jealous of all those who live out west but like others, there are many things that hold me here (although i could have gone to college out there), and i just have to appreciate the times i get out there (Whistler in 2 months baby) and ski what i can get....
p.s. - it's snowing here in Central NY....!

raps, thats been debated here and back there many times. a lot of good skiers come from the east, but there are also a lot of good skiers that develop in the west. basicly any region where there is strong youth racing is going to develop stong young skiers that will all move to where there is good skiing.

but most importantly is to get into a frat picture with girls showing the camera their tits, no matter where you learned to ski, we all like slutty girls with their tits in our faces when in a drunken frat photo. bottom line.

In the mid 80s while at CU Boulder, I was in a cover band (our name: "Free Drinks") that played at lots of frat houses on and around Broadway and Pleasant Street... saw more than my share of potential date rapes.

Regardless, your point is well taken, Basom.

    Unhappy

Off topic...to the best of my knowledge...that's the frat at CU where a kid from here died of a-poisoning and was covered with "nigger", swasticas, cocks, etc. with permanent pen when they found him dead the next day. God bless his parents.

    edit: Titties!
