    VT Maggots-Bennington Bypass

If I was heading to K Mart from Troy NY would it be better to jump on the Northway to 149 and then pick up 4 into Rutland like I normally do or does the new bypass cut enough time out that I should take the more direct rt 7 all the way? I think last year I clocked it out to be about 30 minutes faster to take the northway BUT that was because you lost time going through Bennington/Manchester/Rutland. Will the bypass make a significant difference getting to Rutland or is it really only usefull if you're going south of Manchester?
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

I haven't done it yet, but someone mentioned in another post (not sure if it was this board) that it saves about 10 minutes driving time.

From Troy to K-Mart should only be about 2 -2 1/4 hr if you go up the Northway, get off at exit 20 take 149 to 4 and 4 to K-mart.

or if you want to avoid lake george get off in Glens Falls go past the mall cross over rt 9 and follow this rt until you see rt 9L. Go left at the light and follow until it runs back into 149. It basically cuts off lake george and is a useful shortcut during busy times of the year.

Not sure about the Bennington thing since I never go that far south.
