Where did "that rocks" come from?

Sorry, I was out for a few days (I don't have time to check the board at home). I missed the origination of the "that rocks" guy. I'm sure there's a great halloween story behind it but I couldn't uncover it in a search. Help me out. Thanks in advance.

I believe it was the natural progression of that other phrase - "Dude!"

Really, there's someone laying claim to it?

I thought it had something to do with the Reverend's costume.

Dude, you didn't know who the Angry Whelk is. You don't know about the "That Rocks" thingie.

Frankly, it makes me wonder if you know anything about FM steeze. And just as frankly, I'm a bit disappointed.

    Where's the love, man?

P.S. Search on "Tesla" for the answer to your question

I am sucking lately. I was away on vacation for a few days then out of the office sick. Like I said I'm too busy when I'm at home to check in here, I only seem to have time at work. I feel a little guilty about all this. Luckily I do know the FM so hopefully I'm not way behind the curve. At least I have my friends here to pick me up when I stumble!!!

Don't feel to bad 1080. I don't know wtf FM is or who the angry whelk is or how it came into being. I saw a link to a post in which the angry whelk came into being but was too busy to look at it.

Pretty good stuff I read both today. Search "earthshine" for the angry whelk. Well worth the read!!! Search "tesla" for the TR. Again, pretty good. The FM is just the finger mustache. Pretty useful on occasion.

Well I guess I'm more hip than I thought. One day I'll read the angry whelk post but not today. I'm outa here. Hava a good weekend.
