Replacing the dream lift would be a good idea. I would like to see something dropping down into Franklin Basin!

THats a life long dream of many locals... but It probably wont happen... Logan really doenst have the population base to support a big resort. It took us 35 years to expand the last time. Maybe somtime around 2040 well see a lift back there.

You are welcome to come with 2P and I to do that. Car shuttles. 2P has been know to only ride the lift up, scoot out to the ridge and down to the cars in FB all day without touching inbounds. I plan to do a lot of that this year too.

Now just dont tell ANYONE that there is good skiing back there.

Nah, we don't need no stinkin lift back there. Drop a few beers in your pack, drop down into Fbasin, skate to the highway, hold a beer out to passing traffic until a car stops

That definatley works. But I was wondering have you ever dropped out the back of long hollow? off the top of the new lift. Goofed off a bit back there this summer. Its looks decent but how is the ride out?

There is some good stuff back there and as long as you can traverse back south towards the bottom the hike to fb road isn't too bad.

Yeah, I've done that but never found the pitch back there to be worth it. I poked around in there a bit with some cats from Powder Magazine last spring: Matt Collins, Dave McReynolds, Adam Clark and others. Should be an upcoming article about it in the Backcountry Stash department in POwdah.

BTW, I picked up my pass today for the BEEV.

edit: I told the people in the Beaver office that their mountain is going to be in Powder and they looked at me like I was a steaming turd. I don't think they believed me.

They arent the most trusting people I know. Its very hard to crack the "Circle of trust" at beaver.

Can't be worse than the fortress of "I don't give a crap" at PowMow.

I didn't even know what people were talking about at first.

I know this is really random, but it's been bothering me for a while and it's nice to vent without any real justification now and then.
