The computer is about to die. I just had the brakes fixed on it along with a bunch of other things. It's to the point where not much is left to brake on it..knock on wood. It's also to the point where i'm dumping money into a dying beast. But I can't get to work to make $$$.
Does anyone have any experance replacing the computer? It just looks like a black box with a few connections. Or is there some dealer installed you can't fix it without buying a 10,000 tool or computer?

Have you tried resetting the computer? It may buy you some more time...

i dont know what kindof car itis, but i replaced one on a beretta once and it was really easy. just unplug the wires going to it and plug them into the new computer. the shitty thing is the computer was expensive as hell (few hundred $'s).

Really easy to swap out. Just make sure you match the id numbers on it. It really is as simple as finding it, taking it out, unpluging it, and then putting the new one back in.
