    Killing it!

It always feels that way after a safety break! Although who knows how it looks...

Sad state of affairs my physical condition is in now. I hear you Mr Bacon.
Although, every first run of every season. I still feel like I have "it". I'm waiting for the day to come when it all just clunks....

I ski on Pocket Rockets...obviously I can't kill anything. But when I get on my new Bro Softs, I'll be killin' chit at least 14.3% of the time!

generally i kill it, say 5 out of 7 days of the week. when i'm not on, I roll into the bar and slam a couple cold ones til i'm ready to rage. then i go out to the park and see what rats i can blow apart with this new shit i'm working on. I call it the splincoln. then the ladies show up. we usually go back to my place but sometimes cindy and bambi like to take me to the suite.

    why do you ask?

For me it comes down to energy, both physical and mental. Some days I’ll feel great physically but just don’t have the concentration or focus, this is often coincides with poor conditions. Other times I’m focused but I’m just too tired to physically perform. When both energy levels are up, then it’s on.

I’ve found that riding under the chair can raise my energy levels. Just one hoot from a stranger on the lift above can do wonders. And I’m not talking about being extremo, just a clean aggressive line or few smooth pow turns can incite a whoop.

If I’m not skiing well or want to prime myself for a new challenge I revert back to skiing easier lines I have mastered and can rip at will. This gets my confidence up and solidifies my skills. When the momentum gets going I can start to push again.

Another thing I try to do is always end on a good run or few good turns. I never want to head to the parking lot feeling beaten and down. Ending on a good note gives me something to dwell on when waiting for the next time on snow.

If there's anyone out there who is totally killing it every single day at any sport they better start spilling their secrets....
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a Ride!"
