I actually like this country a whole lot. I can think of plenty of cultures/countries we could learn from, but I still think America is the greatest country on earth. I just think that it's not as great as it used to be.

I assume that you are aware that this country did exist and had fucked up politicians long before dubbya came to power. When you buy into the idea that Bush screwed everything up, it just goes to show how limited your understanding of history is. Or maybe you just really like Kool-Aide.

I would agree that neither candidate is great, although in this election (like all that I have voted in before) you are charged with choosing the lesser of two evils. And clearly McCain is the lesser of the 2 evils.

I have resigned myself to the fact that we will live under an Obamanation for the next 4 years, which made me think of this quote...

I don't think Bush screwed everything up. He is a symptom of a larger disease that has been growing for years. He did screw up plenty though. Also, if you're buying ammo now, you didn't plan ahead early enough.

I don't care if you speak your mind but the fucking whinning is annoying. This country was based on the belief that anyone can be anything they want. You need to bust your ass and stand up for what you believe. You have the freedom to do that and hopefully make changes. This country was ripped in two many years ago. We set aside out differences to make this the greatest county on earth. This election has been polarizing but nobody died over it, the country will be stronger in the future over these issues.

The thing is, this pathetic, "poor us" bullshit attitude held by most liberals is what brings this country down WAY more than anything any president could do. This fucking shitty attitude lets people give up. It gives them an out, an excuse, to not take responsibility for anything. That's the thing liberals either can't see or won't admit. The quote you posted is actually more relevant to the garbage we have been under for the last 8 years.

In my lifetime the Republican party has never backed a candidate whose
intelligence level was above the 92 percentile or so.

McCain is clearly not the lesser of two evils. A good soldier, but one of modest talent at best.
