your strength of conviction is inspiring.

let me guess, you waited until the polls closed back east and checked to see who was winning on CNN so you could jump on the bandwagon.

Is'nt that the same group of intellectuals(Eastern Washington.) who voted out their Senator who also happened to be Senate Majority Leader--thinking that the New guy would just assume that position?

Nation wide, a HUGE win for my team
Now, there is no excuse left, a majority in both houses and a clear road ahead. Bush could have a Regan like legacy upon leaving office.
Funny enough, I am not a big Bush supporter. He's way too big government oriented for my tastes. We shall see. I'm looking for a return to old fashioned conservatism.

Tom Foley, He was Speaker of the House at the time. Had served WA's 5th district for 30 years. The good people of South Dakota can now be added to this list of geniuses.

Nationwide it was a huge win for incumbency. For a nation that bitches about the state of politics, we sure don't want to change the players at local, state or national levels.

You won't find a return to good old fashioned conservatism with Bush. I'm more looking for a lack of total economic collapse of the country, anything else will be a bonus. I'm not really ecstatic about the apparent Bush win, but I'm a lot happier about it than an apparent Kerry win.

We need some real vision and leadership, unfortunately neither of the leading candidates offered that. Here's to 4 more years of something, hope they are good for the country. This country deserves better choices than it had this time around.

Don't get your panties in a twist. I think he was referring to fiscal conservatism, which isn't a bad thing in this age of entitlement.

Which, ironically, is absent in this administration.

I can think of a million excuses, the most notable being that Regan and W. are worlds apart. There will be no Bush legacy. There will be a ridiculous debt, lower taxes that won't pay it off, and abrasive, bridge-burning foriegn policy coupled with domestic policy geared towards christian fundementalists. Oh joy.

    Unhappy

Bush finally won outright. Hopefully Kerry won't use the court system. I am dissapointed to say the least, but at least my state didn't fall vote for Bush. Looks like the Republicans had a strong showing throughout most of the country and locally around here. Looks like we'll have a couple of years without the presidential election rearing it head until McCain announces his presidential exploritory committee.

well since you seem to be able read his mind, i guess you are entitled to respond for him then
fical conservatism is a good thing, and i agree the bush and his gang are not fiscal conservatives,, in fact they cite the reagan era deficits as proof that federal government debt doesn't matter

    I read somewhere that:
Over two-thirds of all "regular" church goers vote Republican and over two-thirds of educated college graduates vote Democratic

Result: The majority of Bible-belters that vote Republican are under educated.

Stupid people should not be allowed to vote.
