A million-3 votes for bush so far... A million for Kerry... and 8 thousand for Nader. Seems like it's time for Nader to hang up the spurs... he's irrelevant...

I can't believe the coverage for the election up here in Canada. You would think that we are voting too. All this coverage make me want to go down to the local pub and watch CNN with a couple of brews and wings. Since there is no NHL this winter.

Its too bad that this election is soo polarized, because most people in the states are probably in the center of the political spectrum. Oh well, hopefully its a good winter

Bush: IN KY WY IN AL GA OK (66)
Kerry: IL VT ME MA CT NJ DE MD DC (77)

Still no suprises. No word on OH or VA. PA joins the list as a battle ground state.

My palms are sweating. People are bitching at each other in my office (and most of us agree...)

I'm retreating to cnn.com and here for a while before I rejoin the world....

I'm suprised they haven't called NC and SC for Bush yet. Not saying that Kerry has a chance in either state, but that makes look like Kerry might steal VA.

Kerry seems to be picking up the female vote. Pretty much every state reporting so far on CNN has a higher percentage of female voters going Kerry's way over their male counterparts.

might want to get ready to pull a 3 or 4 day all nighter....or maybe more. just read that the 80,000 absentee voter ballots in Miami Dade county may not be read until Thursday.

at this stage, anything could happen.

Indeed. The CNN numbers indicate that 54% of the voters are women and 54% of them are voting Kerry. If Kerry wins, all you Dem guys are going to have to take your ladies out for a night on the town to thank them.

    Hey, that's a great idea!!

    Edit:

    Interesting quote from CNN:

"Out in the streets of Baghdad, it's a bit different. In Mansour Monday -- where middle class shoppers come to buy Turkish and Syrian clothing -- we couldn't find a single Iraqi with a good word to say about Pres. George W. Bush."

    Makes you go mmmmm.....

Bush: IN KY WY IN AL GA OK SC NC VA (102)
Kerry: IL VT ME MA CT NJ DE MD DC (77)

So Bush takes VA. Not a huge suprise, but certainly Kerry must have been hoping he could squeek it out. OH and PA still up. FL polls have closed, and it's surely a battleground state as well.

NJ was considered to close to call leading up to the election. So Kerry's win there is a good sign for his campaign.

Swing states whose polls are closed: OH PA FL WI NM CO.

These 6 will swing the election.
