Back Country in the Fresh stuff

My buddy and I hiked up near Jones Pass Colorado in search of powder and we sure found it. It was mostly knee deep with some sections up to my waist in the white gold. We were the only ones in the entire area, and the snow was completely untouched until we carved some lines. Here is the picture evidence

Jones pass is off of U.S. 40 near the city of Berthoud Falls at the Henderson Mine exit. And the last pitch was much steeper than what you saw in the pictures. I'm trying to attach it but I'm have issues here. Here is the last pitch. You can see my lines to the left.

somewhere in colorado. That's all you need to know. No need to go there, it sucks, the terrain is flat, and the coverage is horrible year round.

That's right... don't even bother going... in fact everyone should go to Utah. I like being the only one in the area.

Nice post, still looking for the knee deep pics. Are you sure you didn't copy and paste that part from some Utard's thread?

Ha ha ha. I don't have a picture of it, but it really was that deep in certain places.

HA, I would love to have a splitboard... The cash flow just needs to increase. For now it's postholing... that sucks.

What do you mean, not enough cash? Just get a chain saw, cut your snowboard in half, drill new inserts in the right places, mount your bindings. When you want to go back down, lots & lots & lots of duck tape and remount the bindings... couldn't be simpler!

Voile makes a splitboard conversion kit, only $130, plus the cost of skins, so you're in for under $300 if you have an old board lying around. Oh, and you need a saw too.
It's heartbreaking to see a chick who's too anorexic.
