    Comparing surf forums

I did a little writeup of the surf forums I have encountered:

    http://www.globalquiver.com/blog/ind...4/surf-forums/

    What are your thoughts?

you've obviously over estimated the friendliness, and vastly underestimated the political prognosis of this place. We are all assholes to newbie JONGs who spam our beloved forumz. but other than that, you pretty much nailed it. We are pretty damn slow.

Thanks QuikR12. I admit to being a little pissed when i posted that write up. But just like every place, there's cool folks and uncool ones.

In fact one thing that's funny is that Stoke Report (who I applauded in my article) got all agro recently to the point where the moderator had to pull commenting privileges.

At this point, I have no idea whether Global Quiver will work or not. I didn't get a huge boost from going forum dropping, so that strategy is basically over for me. Now I'm cold calling shops to see if I can get a better density of boards in California, and if that doesn't work, it's on to plan B. Whatever that is.
