Thanks for posting. That made me sad and happy at the same time. A sobering, but inspirational video, that makes me appreciate my mobility. Hats off to the dude.

(I will never bitch about getting in or getting sand in my wetsuit, either!)

When he hit that water, his paddle became his wings...and his limitations simply vanished in that fluid embrace with the sea.

The ocean doesn't just float the body, it floats the soul.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

So, I'm going through a sleepy little town on the way to a surf spot a few days ago. I'm a huge fan of old, fucked up, or jacked up cars. I see a Jeep Cherokee that is all cut up, and something is ringing in my head. I screech to a halt, walk over to the truck. It has that Stretch hull in the back, so I figure it's him. Waited around for a while, checked back and he was about to drive away. Introduced myself, and told him how much his video and the way he lived his life had inspired me and my friends. He was very quiet, and it was weird. He thanked me, and took off. I was hoping to see him in the water, and maybe catch a wave or two with him. Maybe next time...

Looked a long time for this powerful vid....finally found it again.

    I'm glad.

The things that inspire don't have to be ground-shaking and larger than life....they just have to move you.

If any vid deserves a bump....THIS does.
