Double Dip trip. Salt > Cataract

Just got back from my annual spring desert river rituals. Lucky enough to have scored a 3/9 permit for Salt then jump on a friends Cat permit two days later. I f'ing love getting primed for the season in March, what better way than to do some desert floats. Was supposed to just be getting back from a Grand trip right about now, unfortunately it fell apart...but luckily scored that salt ticket just days after cancelling.

Figured we'd swing by the Grand Canyon anyways and make an appearance...I hadn't been to the rim since i was like 7 years old so it was cool to get that vantage. Whatever. Enjoy

Edit: Figure I might as well comment on some.

What the hell, it's late, but i had a good night tonight

This was my first cat trip. We were lucky to have awesome weather the entire trip! Not so lucky with winds on the last day. Holy fuck, if I wasn't such a gaper I woulda known to bring a motor for that shit. Lucky me got to row an old mans cat the whole time(-rapids). Oh and did I mention the two females slated to go bailed last minute. Sweet! Dudesoup.

Turned out to be one of the funner, drunkest trips I've ever had.

pic2-This guys neighbor sells arms and other cool shit to all sorts of countries. He gave him this softshell like drysuit to take. He says Navy seals use them. There's holsters for guns and other super secret tactical stuff. It's got trident's and shit on the back of it.

Learning to kayak I swam on the same turbo eddy line three times on Cat. Had a real fun day up in the doll's house too.
