    Thumbs up High Life!!!

There's probably been a couple threads about this already but I just want to say, High Life is the best ski movie I've ever seen.

Immersion has more soul to it but it doesn't really fall into the 'ski porn' category. This movie is exactly how I'd make a movie, assuming I had any talent to make a ski movie.

Caught the Seattle show last night, it was incredible. Maybe it was the cold autumn air, maybe it was the knowledge that we've got less than a month until the lifts should be running here in WA; but I was blown away by the film last night. It has everything that MSP's Focused lacked, it has some soul, some sweet pow segments, small amounts of jibbing...it was exactly how ski porn should be.

Owens and the rest of the TGR crew, keep up the good work. Congradulations on an excellent film.

I'll second that. Great film. I might have to buy the DVD now, and not that cheap amazon.com version, either!

    Angry

I'd like the opportunity to either agree or disagree, but since TGR won't be in SoCal until who knows when and my stinking DVD isn't here yet, I can't

    end rant...................now

    Cool You Guys Rock!!

    Unbelievable!!!!

So incredible to meet everyone and to think I almost bagged out due to a raging headache. However, I self medicated and while it left me feeling a bit funked out and foggy I managed to have a great time getting to know RX, Rusty, Optics, AD, Rehabit, Z-Bo and their collective significant others. Also got to catch up with GreenMachine and Josh.

I'm telling you - I've spent the last year redefining my career into a more flexible situation in hopes that I too can spend copious amounts of time skiing and that movie just inspired me more. Got to work it, got to live the dream - I should have known that the mountains were my calling not the court room. I've never been happy in confined spaces. (what was I thinking?)

Love you guys!!! You're the best!

It was good to meet you, too. I'm really impressed with all the maggots I've met in person. Definitely a great group of people.

    Thumbs up

I bet you were all at the 9:00 show, weren't you. Damn it, I missed you again. Did anyone see two blonde guys, one in an expensive-looking red and white Spyder jacket that looks like something a 50 year old from Aspen would wear, and the other in jeans, a black hoody with the Dynastar Troublemaker logo, and a Olde English 800 trucker hat? Cause the one with the Olde English hat was me, and the other one was my friend.

I already posted how I felt about the movie in a different thread. I thought it was mediocre, but that most Warren Miller movies are at least ten times better than it. It just kind of sucks that TGR can't get their shit together. First they came out with that piece of shit 'Mind the Addiction,' and now this?

HA! I bet I had some of you going. I fucking loved this movie. Mind the Addiction was my favoritest movie ever, until this one. SICK skiing, Sage Cattabriga is my fucking hero. What an awesome skier. Will Burkes is a cool guy too. I met both of them, and so of course i was stoked. I can't wait for my copy to come... soon enough, it shall be on my doorstep, and then I am going to put it on repeat on my DVD player. I can't wait to see it with my dad, who was working and couldn't come.

Anyway, i'm rambling like a dumb bitch again, so I'll shut up.

Owens and the rest of the TGR crew: you are all golden gods. Keep making movies like this. You've already outstripped MSP. I might just start sending some money from my paychecks directly to you guys to ensure I get all the latest porn.

Yep - it's November, I am not headed to Wolf Creek this weekend, I live in Missouri, and no DVD. C'mon, please.

    Too funny Optics.

Sammy, I was so afraid you were going to say it was you in the Spyder jacket!!! (see Powder post).

You are the King of missed connections - about 10 of us were standing right next to you.
