heh, I got a dose of that followin Alka around Squaw last last Spring....just when I thought I was really movin, I see this black dot hundreds of yards below me moving at the speed of light. Still can't believe you ski PR's like that, 'cause they're all like soft and stuff and aren't suppossed to go that fast

Yeah, my bad, I own Squallywood, I just can't find it in all of my crap. I'm not sure of the line, but it was near the middle, with a smallish ollie into a pretty narrow railroad track that shoots you out to skiers left. I'm all for the "take-a-park-rat-skiing" thing, theres too many kids out there who can't ski who think they're so sick because they can do the s rail. I'm definitely ditching the park rat crew this year, its getting way old watching people wait in the park on powder days until the rails are dug out. I'm not saying I'm the shit at big mountain, there's tons of people better than me, but I'm pretty sure I can keep up with a lot of good skiers. I've been always looking for a few good skiers to ski with and lately, good big mountain skiers my age (15) are pretty hard to come by. I'd be stoked to ski with you and some other real skiers sometime, I think I might go this weekend, if I do, I'll PM you.

And I was hundreds of yards back from you. At one point I thought Ty had gone straight and I see this blue dot off to the farrrrrrrr left, think "holy shit," hit the e brake on my Gotamas, and barely hang on for a last second mach speed exit stage left. That was the first run, and a big wake up call.

I am glad that squaw breeds the most bad ass self centered egotistical skiers around.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Hell Yeah.
We're the stupiest, silliest, and most arrogant around. It's all in good fun though.

    Person: "Why 2?"

SVL: "Cause were fucking better than you!!! Now shut the fuck up!!!"

Heard that one friday night. Seemed kind of appropriate.

    Roo,

I will agree with you on the size of the mtns and ski areas. One thing we gots is lots of the white stuff!

That having been said, I'm still going back across the pond for 2.5 weeks of Euro fun in Dec/Jan.

Chamonix, France. They're better than you guys............. (i still don't know the appropriate use of tis but who cares. )
But i guess you still could rip the shit out of areas like Kitzbühel. The hills there should be of american dimensions hrr hrr [eurosnob]

but maybe im just jealous....enjoy the extraordinary snow height at this time. maybe euroland gets it's share next week. The weatherpattern seems to shape up nicely.(considering that the freeze level will be at 3000m+ the next few days. )

Although there is a ton of attitude and egos around squaw, there is also a great deal of respect.

ummmm, yeah, definitely don't have any rebuttal to that statement. Tahoe gets ownerized by Cham.

Solution: I'm going to Europe this winter!!! (fingers crossed)

Lately us big mountain skiers have been on a "take-a-park-rat-skiing" binge. We've managed to scare the shit out of Boyd, Dash, and on Saturday it was Tim Dutton.
Just don't get pissed if you get ditched, it is never anything personal. It's just a speed thing. I've been skiing with Gaffney, JT and Shane, and Shane fell behind one run. Lost a ski or something. Didn't see him the rest of the day. Cutthroat...yes, justifiable on pow days...yes.
PM me. I'll be up on weekends, until Dec. Then I'm there for good.

    Buy it
