I'll go against the grain and vote blue. Always thought of blue as more of a winter color.

At the same time...orange stands out better and is more noticeable...hmmmm.

They both look great, don't care what color it is, so long as I can get one.

My vote is for the darker blue one too. Orange skiers and trees seem way too warm weather for my taste. Plus, I dig the blue.

    Orange.
    More importantly,
How are we gonna get them made up?

Glademaster, please no polls, just do blue instead or whoever fronts the money gets to pick. Polls are just way to Gapic.

Edit: Besides the orange matches all the huntin' overhauls that I always ski in.

I wasn't even thinkin about posting a poll. I'm about polled out for another few months. I just posted my opinion, whatever more people want is what I'm cool with.

I think we have a winner! I like the orange a lot. There was a blue one for the first Summit, we should not copy that huge page in history IMO.

Now, we gotta get these done asap and find a good place to get them done, to withstand the snow.

Xboat, hey, no worries, you did great last time, we all loved em!! Thanks a ton.

Who wants to front for them???? That is the big question. I can try to chip in.

That's a sweet design sprite! Keep in mind that generally more colors = more dollars.

I was thinking the same thing. Does the white space count as a color? Even without counting the white (and by turning the snow caps on the mtns white) that's still a 4 color design. Black, Orange, Lt. Brown, Even Lighter Brown, and white. Isn't 4 color technology harder to come by (and thusly a lot more expensive) than 3 color? Or is it? I don't know, just throwing out some food for thought. I'm having a hard time envisioning it without the 2 shades of brown, unless you went with completely white mtns and a black PM. And the black PM is kinda keeping with tradition. Now, can somebody figure all that out and make a design from it?

Just a stream of consciousness post, sorry for the rambling.

    Hey guys--
Let me know about the color limit thing. I can eliminate some of the colors tomorrow if indeed it becomes too pricey. Just post up here pleez.

Oh, and I was thinking I can eliminate the snowflake altogether (or make it white) and the skier in the background can be white too.

I dig the snowflake, make it white, make the PM and tgr web tag black and skier the same brown, white mtns. (summarizing TeleDave)

If you build it, they will come.

Thanks for the desing work, you may make Maggot history!!!

edit: my 2 cents, not telling you what to do

    Sprite,

You could make the skier black, mountains and sun white and snowflake white. Then all you've got is black and orange, The sticker white doesn't count, so you're at 2 colors.
Also... make the drop shadow a flat black or eliminate it. Otherwise you've got a gradient.
    Again... nice work.

edit: Many printers will want the file in vector format. .eps or .ai
It looks like your graphic is probably a raster image. May or may not be an issue with the printers.

Okay...I left the psd at work so I will do those changes tomorrow.

I am not sure what all that formatting stuff means. So if I provide just a .psd file with all the layers--is there someone who can do all that crazy stuff to make it print shop friendly?

    Tanks!

Definitely with the mountains. I like the placement of the snowflake better too.

I dig the new design. Simple and clean yet very noticeable. I might be able to chip in a little dough, so if ya want me to, someone PM me about it. Great job Sprite.

Good, I'll EM it to jibberjabber (jibij) and see if he can vectorize it or whatever little miracle he's gonna do over there.

Then there's the issue of how to print, $$, etc.

If you print 2 colors on white vinyl, it'll be cheaper than 3. Just black and orange and the white as "blank" areas. That's how we did the white on the first two summit stickers.

The grey backdrop on "powder maggot summit" might have to be dropped though, unless you do a 3 color process or whatever.
