Yeah, last night I went to see Saw as well. It had it's ups and down, but on the balance I was disappointed. It didn't have me teetering on the edge of me seat.

    *Spoiler alert!! Spoiler alert!!*

Seriously. I went into this blind, hoping that seeing a "scary" film with no knowledge of what it was about would make it even more scary. What a disappointment. The acting made me cringe, some of the scenes made no sense (rich, successful surgeon in fancy house shares his car with his wife? Cops go slinking about the alleys with a shotgun? Two dudes in the grips of this "game" take the time to discuss the one dudes family and pass pictures of his kids? Surgeon dude knows what psycho is capable of and doesn't off Adam? Guys think they can fake the poisoning with no knowledge as to how the poison affects you?), the cliches were rampant (the clown, the deep, scary voice, the "appreciate life" moral), and the "twist" thing just seems so overdone (though I won't claim I saw it coming I did kind of wonder if they would deal with that unknown dude (and I was severly pissed when it seemed like it was gonna be that obvious guy)).

Sorry. Had to rant a little as the people I saw it with kinda liked it and I didn't want to bring them down.

SaAaH (and seeming to be quite picky lately),
