Welcome to the hood. I'm still learning Gore, but I'll show ya what I found so far. I'm new too.
Is anybody planning on hitting up any other areas? I'm planning on Bear Creek on Thursday, Burke on Friday, Stowe Sat then Jay Sunday and Monday. If there's snow anyway that's the plan.
I'll probably hit Kmart or Mt. Snow on Monday, have to see whether or not I need to be back in NYC Monday evening.
Maybe someone should start a separate thread for people to commit to buying tix, and what days they want them, so we can get the group rates.

Group rates = Good idea. Stowe is kinda pricey. Actually, any shop rats know what the deal is for shop employees?
I'd give folks a Smuggs tour if they want to head over to the other side of the notch.

ther is no deal at stowe for shop employees. at least not ski market employees. If your shop set up a list with them early in the season, and you work full time, there might be a bit of a discount. but it sure as hell aint like going to killington or sunday river.Originally Posted by gravitylover
bill knows more about this, since he attempted to get us some discunts this season. All I know is that it didn't work.
Employees working over 25hrs a week get $30 tix or something thereabouts (maybe it's managers only or something).
since i work maybe 2 hours every 2 weeks if that, i decided to just get a season pass and not work at the shop, didn't pursue it any further.
you need to call ahead, send them a list, bring a current pay stub, etc etc.

anybody committed to a room yet? I'm planning on coming up thurs nite-leave sunday night-I'll share a room, sleep on someone's couch-whatever...
I can host any house broken maggots that need a place to stay during the EC summit.
My place is down in southern VT (near Magic) and is a about 90 minutes from Stowe. I'll be driving back and forth for the summit.
PM me if you're interested and as always beer gets you in the door.
elevens
why make ten turns when you only need to make NONE!
this looks kinda fun. if i take a train from NYC to Rutland VT, can anyone give me a ride to wherever the lodging is?
Shhh...
I scored 6 $35 lift tix for Stowe (plust the two that I need). Yes they're good on weekends. First 6 that tell me they want one for the summit...![]()
i'll most likely be able to give someone a ride up from nyc and provide shuttling when i'm in vt.
Down to 4. Aldo just snagged 2.
edit: smerham scores 2. Down to 2 now
edit: Vinman takes one. One left!

What are you talking about, gravity? Can I have one? Do I want one?
[quote][//quote]
Well, lets see. Regular price is around $65. These are vouchers for $35 tix. Do you want one?![]()
FWIW, the place seems to be filling up that weekend. I just got my room at the Sunset Motor Lodge for less than $80/nt including breakfast and they had a few rooms left. It's on Rt 100 just a few minutes from the access road.
With those discount vouchers I got a pile of Stowe stickers too, where are we on the summit stickers?
I just got connected to the internets. I'll post the final design in a day or so and then place a order.Originally Posted by gravitylover
Oops, missed your first post. Put me down for one if I can use it on Sunday.

Oops, it's called the Sunset Motor Inn. 800-544-2347.
Dexter grabbed the last half price ticket I had so that's it unless the very nice young lady in the Stowe marketing office feels generous again for discount tix. Thank you Julie![]()

Sunset motor inn in Morrisville is a good place to stay. Nothing extravagant but it is fairly nice and clean and decent prices. It will take you roughly 1/2 hour to get to the mtn from there.

You're able to get vouchers there (I think), plus breakfast at a place next door too...Originally Posted by Vinman
