it is kinda like taking a huck in low light where you can't see the ground. it is a good feeling.

Let me know if you need some help getting in touch with CMAC folks, I'm going to be up there all next week.
Ha...Elliot and I were already planning how I could go about getting on the Elliot plan. I really love coaching for Paradise because of the philosophy that Jim and Corie have in teaching people to ski AND have fun with every aspect of the mountain.

Sam- yeah, Crystal is blatantly sticking it to our program. Case in point- last year all the Paradise coaches could BUY discounted full passes at $330 a pop. I broke even in the first 6 days of the season while other coaches with kids and responsibilities were only up on the weekends. Whatever, we PAID Crystal. This year, they are only LETTING 12 Paradise coaches BUY the discounted passes and to the rest of us they are giving the multi week passes (4 days for training, 6 days for coaching, and 2 additional days=$540 worth of skiing) for FREE!!!!! They are willing to give us that much free skiing, per person, but won't let us BUY the damn discounted passes. I understand that they want us to buy a full price pass, but I am inclined to take my free skiing and then go buy a $250 student pass to Alpie...FUCKERS FUCKERS FUCKERS. I love that mountain and the locals there, but the management sucks. I can't say how much longer I am willing to pay for passes there. And that folks is the saga of Girlski's pass, 04-05...

Yeah, I bought the $330 pass when I was a coach. It was a great deal for me, because I was still living at home and didn't have any real expenses at all. I could have had $0 in the bank and still had plenty to eat and a place to sleep (I love you mom and dad ). Now that I'm out in the big, bad world though, I'm only willing to sacrifice ski days if i can get a free pass out of it.

Buy the Alpie pass. I bought it last year, and it was great. I felt like I was stealing from the mountain because I made the pass soooo worth it. It's too cheap not to buy, really, and Alpie is so close that you can go up after class/work/whatever. It's not a sunup-to-sundown deal like Crystal is. Alpie is a lot of fun, too.

As much as I really love skiing Crystal, you could just flip them the
like I did this year and get on with the Alpe and/or Stevens love. but you should get the Alpe pass anyway- so close and worth every penny- and as you know, the burl factor is definitely elevated at Alpental.
