Skiing was good today, but tomorrow will be better, maybe the epoxy job on the naxo's will hold up better than the piece of shit that they are.

Bakerboy is meeting me at my place at 9am, so we will see the rest of you fockers up there shortly after 10

First run will be widow maker followed by stoneman, are you down with that baker bunny?

Nah, I always do Stoneman before Widow Maker!!

(Ain't nobody gonna do either of those who gets to the parking lot at 10 AM. Sun eats 'em by then. You guys wanna skip the binge the night before and get to the parking lot at a decent hour someday, we can do ..

Uh, Widow Maker is north-facing. It next to nearly never gets hit with sun. People ran up it last year at 9:30 no probs, other than the uncontrollable slide for life over the top cliff band that ONE guy had...

Anyways, when it comes to a pow day Bunny, mbs and myself will be sure to save you a seat on first chair up 4.5 if you can make it by 7:30, because they only people who can't party and then make it up to ski pow the next day are rookies, chumps, and old washed-up has-beens who think they know better.

BTW, all the fucking forecasters blew the weather report AGAIN, for the second time in two weekends... good luck on getting more than an inch of new snow up there.

I am going to feel two for every one of my many accumulated years tomorrow. However deep pow was eventually had, after many steps and a few curses. I was real hardcore, carrying my skis over my shoulder with one hand and my poles in the other. I finally tied my poles onto my pack and used the skis to help me up, worked ok. DINMS and weski at least had packs you could hook your skis on. I have developed HUGE, that is massive appreciation for touring bindings after watching mbs, BB and WC cruise on up.
Moments from now I will submerge myself in a very hot tub. Damn thats gonna feel good! Damn it felt good to ski after 2 1/2 months of sloth.

Fiddler is going to have to get some packing gear if he's going boot packing again. Myself, I had a great time on some increadable early season pow. DINMS went to bed by 8:00. Guess I was pretty tired too. Can't wait till next time.

Let's have a look at the assumptions here: Either I am one of your usual pack or I am a newbie? And it is true of all newbies that they don't know what they are talking about?

I'll take choice "C", thank you!!

Anyway, it was a great day. We found the deposit lines on the back of Table, and in the lower Table hourglasses!

so your saying widow maker is not north facing, gets a lot of sun, and you know what you are talking about?

We joined the herds on the nw side of Table, and skied 6 or 7 runs in knee deep pow. Nice skin track was set, lots of folks out there. By the end of the day the slope was trashed. I had a most excellent time.

What we are calling "Stoneman" used to be called the "Widow Maker". I was not aware that something else was now being called the Widow Maker. So when Grant suggested that we ski the Widowmaker and Stoneman on the same day, I assumed that he was yanking my chain a bit to test me. I responded in kind. Anyways, nobody is skiing Stoneman or whatever you call the Widowmaker without more snow. Grant knows that, I know that Grant knows that, so the whole thing about "The Stoneman and the Widowmaker" was a farce, and I treated it as such.

In fact, isn't ALL Internet chest thumping of this sort a farce, and to taken with more of a smile than a snarl?
