From CAIC:
A year ago today sawatch danger was low, all aspects, all elevations.Sadly to report this morning, there has been an avalanche fatality on Marshall Pass in the southern end of the Sawatch zone. The avalanche occurred on a West aspect, covering a large area from well above treeline to well below treeline. The avalanche was triggered near treeline. CAIC staff will try to get into the accident site today to gather more details. Danger remains CONSIDERABLE.

Yea, Marshall Pass goes from CO 200 in Poncha Springs, where Silver Creek, Starvation and The Rainbow Trail comes out. It goes over to Sargents.Is Marshall Pass where the Monarch Crest MTB trail comes out? I am trying to place this in my head.
