    Vail pass routes

I'm looking for some < 30 degree lines in the Vail Pass area as I'm new to back country travel... suggestions?

    kinda rough....

Wow! No love for secret Vail Pass spots. Truth be told, there aren't many 'secret' spots left up there. Best bet would be to pick up a map of the area at Vail pass or probably one of the ranger stations in Dillon or Minturn. It's a pretty kick ass map the Forest Service has put together which actually highlights sled-skiing routes and terrain.
There is plenty of <30degree terrain in that area that is easily accessed if you have a snomo or snowcat.

LOTS of terrain in that zone. Put on your skins...grab a topo and head out.
