    Cornice Ridge TR 10-27-04

Thought it was going to be another solo trip. Hooked up with T.W. in the TG parking lot and started skinning with him. He stopped and dug some pits. A few minutes later I ran into Stoy. We all went up to Cornice Ridge for some nice October turns.

Wood Camp area....It's nice to finally get a look around at my new terrain. The last week has been so cloudy, etc., haven't been able to see shizz.

Stoy skinning on a low red blood cell count from a week out east. But happy to be building the red cells back up.

    Toby checking out the situation.

Fritz limping after hurting his leg. Just prior I had to pin him down while Stoy graciously ripped porcupine quills out of his face.

Stoy surveying the goods he poaches all winter. Fritz resting his sore face and leg.

    Toby gettin' sum.

    Stoy's fifth turn this season.

And his sixth.......with Fritz spotting him.

Stoy with a low hemoglobin and me on four hours of sleep.

Some other folks were scoring too.....

looks like another great day for turns. i may go up in a few hours.

are you keeping that dog on a steady diet of gonja? every pic i see of him his eyes are barely open. if you are, don't forget that dogs get the munchies too.

He's not into Smith's. He likes to show of his blue eyes.

    those are sweet!

if you use scissors or a knife and cut the quill in half, the barbs go down and you can pull em out. they are held out by air pressure from the inside. or maybe you did this.

we'll have to see about some oakleys then. he's a good friend, isn't he? he deserves them.

is your 4 legged friend allowed in timp? if so, we can all get some turns together near slc. uintas will work too, but is more likely to be sled accessed.

Fritz has shredded all over Timp. But this year he is really showing his age (8). Seems young, I know. But he has really slowed down. So on big days I will leave him to rest.

Nice Thead, very nice. Pretty soon I'll be using up some vacation days so that I can get out there with you in the middle of the week. Until then, make some turns for me. It looks like this new storm should dump a couple more feet o' fresh up there.

Damn you are quick. Nice to meet up with you finally. Turns out, those turns off in Cornice Bowl were two buddies of mine. Of the ten people i sqw out there, knew all of them. Gotta love that!

I have to call a few heads about Friday...whats your schedule Track? I'm thinking leaving LoCache around 7.30 or 8 and playing ALL DAY LONG.
There's a world out there full of color, dreams, and imagination. What are you waiting for?

    Stoy,

I have to be in Logan at 3:45 PM to sign papers on my land I bought. And write out a big fat check.

    Can you swing going earlier?
