I would think those managers would have more to lose in terms of credibility if they jumped the gun about opening early.Originally Posted by Red Baron

"Hi Xover
Snowbird's opening date is still being decided. With a big storm in the forecast, Snowbird could open one week to two weeks earlier than the original November 20th date. Please check the website snowbird.com by Friday and the opening date should be posted by then.

i'm going up today and will take a look at the mountain, from the access road, to see if they have any of the usual ropes and signs up. this depends on the vis, but i may stop in and talk to a few people who have been there for a few decades and that have never misinformed me before.
edit: xover, that sounds likely but i still think they will do a weekend before they open full time.
im sitting here w/ my finger on the jetblue trigger. cant wait to come make some turns with you all!!!
Last thing I want the news to do is announce to the valley that the Bird is opening up.Originally Posted by Red Baron

(I see the doc for the last time, I hope, on the 4th; should be "offically" cleared to ski. I won't tell him about touring at Alta or hitting Brighton already though, just to be safe)
