Seems silly not to run beginning tomorrow when the swell is supposed to be biggest. I guess it is harder to get spectators on the cliff on a week day.

i thought the same thing, swell is supposed to peak tomorrow night, no?...isnt it ironic that the last few have been on Saturdays..they can also make more $$ off of the $25 nachos at ATT park while people watch.

Craziness on the beach. Spectators are getting broken legs, are you fucking kidding me. Comentators are definitely clowns.

Great waves and rides so far though. I couldn't ask for better entertainment for a day when I am confined to the house, sick as bloody hell.

wow these waves look gorgeous, some huge drop ins. Watching the late drops online is nuts, my neighbors have no idea why I'm screaming "WHOAAAAAAAA!"

Too bad for Greg Long, this Semi Heat #1 is pretty sweet so far - Twiggy just dropped one of the most gorgeous waves I've seen at Mavs (not that I watch a lot of surfing here or anywhere though)

My buddy was down at Moss the other day. Big, glassy, mean. Lone surfer in the line up killing it. When dude came in, buddy realized it was Slater.

I'm pretty sure that was recorded by at least one video camera.

Here are some of the photos from sfgate.com

and check out some of these bombs (sfgate.com)

Those were some pretty sick waves out there today ... except for during the final round. I think the best drop I saw was Twiggy's run in Semifinal Heat 1
