Hi,

I'm moving to Edwards next week from Washington state. I'm taking a year-round job in the hospital, and will have free time to ski.

I'm 36, moderately fit, ski rando, and I am cool with diversity in mode of travel. I used to tele, and would like to get back into some t2s. I have experience with the Teton and the northwest snowpacks, but I have actually never been to Colorado.

I'll be getting a merchant pass, but I am fairly clueless about the map and where folks ski. I like skinning, road shuttles, sled necking, side country, and even arcing groomers. It's all good. I tend to travel fairly prepared with a moderate pack. I ski well but conservatively limiting hucks to the 5-10 foot range. I eat it freely, but laugh at myself well. I fall somewhere between a meadow skipper and a ski mountaineer. I'm competent at off-trail navigation. My risk tolerance is moderate, allowing for poking around when things are a little strange.

I'm looking for one or two folks to hook up with and start a partner base. I don't know anyone in the area, so I need somewhere to start. I have an extra set of avy gear if this helps anyone get the ball rolling.

However it all works out, I'm mellow and just interested in chill good times and a few good workouts. I know community will evolve with time.

Take it easy,
