I'm going both ways for now. Those snotty little kids need to be kept in line, but yeah, it seems like most the people I know and like are here. I would not have posted the relocation thingy over there now.

They are both worth spending the time.

Maybe one day we will be united under one website. Just like the MLK speech:

"...So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania! Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado! Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California! But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia! Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee! Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

Not that I think our jumping around on websites is anywhere near as dramatic or important as a the issue of racial equality. just thought that passage was cool.

Someday you’ll thank me for rippin’ on most of your idiotic trip reports, and

that bad taste in your mouth just might be something else (heh).
Remember, it was YOU jackasses that got all confused and brought Pinner into our little love spat. I just finished it.

Metcalf etc. took something that was already going on and created an environment which took it to the next level. Then it was trashed by those he works for. Who knows what will evolve next. But this cast of characters will likely continue on as long as there is fresh blood.
    in the water, that is.

Pretty much. Both places are great and I post both places.

And anything archive worth gets posted here for sure because ONS is looking out for us. PM is apparently still going to get rid of old posts.

I have to retain some love for the good people at Powder. I have a free pair of boards en route thanks to them. I know they say that my troubles last winter had nothing to do with my letter of the month victory, but I have a hard time believing it.

As far as this place is concerned; a high percentage of the best and brightest from Pow have surfaced here. TGR has a very high concentration of awesome, funny and pertinent posts; one really has to wade through the muck over there to find the gems.

Also: even though he tends to blow smoke directly into his own arse from time to time, K Stall is still family and that goes a long way

The problem with both joints is that neither are as technically informative as epic...
You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

Mostly here and a little there. I've seen lots of apologies, but no solutions over there, and Owens has been incredibly good to us here. Regardless, I'm not going to worry about it.

Powder Board seems to be turning into a more hateful place, lots of them now hate the tgr board for no reason, I think more jibbers have signed up recently, they say good riddence to the people that left but now they barely have anything worth while to read. Oh well, I read both but mainly post here

Both places...I haven't been around for even a year, but it doesn't seem like a normal day if I don't at least check in here (now) or there. Seems like the majority of my daily entertainment, and 95% of my Utah social life has emerged out of involvement in this community. For that, I'm very gratefull (sniff, sniff, wipe tear from eye). Allthough, now I have to admit that my social life and my love life is a product of the net...giant L on forehead?

This year I look forward to getting to ski much more with people from this nomadic clan. So, it doesn't matter too much to me where this little slice of heavenly pie ends up, I'll drag my gaper ass along, invited or not. However, I like the fact that this place is the result of hard work and passion by ONS and crew, not some corporate kidney stone passed along and pissed on...

I wouldn't count on archiving anything anywhere, unless you're paying for the disk space.

I know ONS would never do it on purpose, but it's really not his responsibility to keep our poop in a pile.

    Just a thought.

Maybe we should learn from the events of the past few months, eh?

Learn? Sorry, no. I quit school for a reason, friend.

A "maggots only" site won't work, in my opinion, because people always drop out. Eventually it will dwindle away. You need new blood ("in the water" -TS) to keep it invigorated.

But we might be able to come to a situation where we could pull a couple of threads and throw them in a locked forum that we could use for archival purposes, no one would be able to post to the threads but they'd be there for referance purposes
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

Blow smoke up my ass, eh? I'm not the one doing the investment banking associate program at blah blah, blah and living in New York City, Cuz.

By the way, I was wondering when you'd get your ass over here. I have nothing against powmag because I wouldn't be foregoing pawing my wife right now if it weren't for that place, but the folks, brothers, best friends, emerging best friends, and family tend to be here, so what the fuck, it's home for now.

So psyched to ski and hang with everyone this winter. Your (collective) friendship and stoke has changed my life. Does that make me "ahead of my time" or an internet geek?!

[insert smoke blowing pipe up my arse now ] by the way: what kinda smoke cuz? How'd you like your drug test

I still check the powdermag forums, but I consider this my new home, and will be devoting my posting energy here until further notice.

Let's not forget to recruit and JONG minions. I don't think TGR gets the incoming traffic pmag did, and we don't want to turn into a circle jerk for bitter refugees.

a bit of both, but more here.

it's just annoying having lost all those old threads that we could share with the new JONGs on pmag. it's like you have to re-explain everything every time. i couldn't even find the original 'extremo moutain dude' thread on pmag. i think the history is a large reason why i come back to this group, and i feel like that is missing with the loss of the old threads and with the arrival on the next generation. don't get me wrong, i'm all for new blood, but it'd just be great to share all that's already gone down.

This topic needed to be addressed. Scuzzin--J hole in Feb? Just a thought. I have to start dealing with that now.

As for now, I am bi, still getting the urge to see what's on tap chez Maggito.

Aspect is now up too, that is now 3 boards to keep up with (well there is a lot more). But these ar the 3 I know people at.

I started with Powmag, but after all the crap hitting the fan, I came here, like a sheep, with many others. I have found this to be a very nice home. I still see what is up on PM, but the same threads are there for 3 or more days sometimes and I can barely find one that is interesting. Im checking out Schmears Acpect BB now, some of the regulars are catching on there.

ONS treats us so well, it is hard to think of leaving my new home. I have time for 1 board, and this is my main one. I still hit the others on occasion. But you can find me here.
