Where are we in the exodus/feud?

Just curious. Seems like Steve Metcalf, et al. have stepped up their presence at PM, partly in an effort to increase the stoke and save the dwindling attendance at their party. They also seem to enjoy the banter and better appreciate the incredible folks who made that board.

So, are we going to just have two homes going forward? One for the masses and then this clubhouse with all the best maggots? Where is this thing going?

What about the indie maggot site? Just a pipe dream or is someone going to step up?

This is all so much more important than work...

[sorry if this is off the topic of stoke] here's a pic:

What the hell did you sprinkle on your corn flakes this morning KS? There is no board.

I use both, but tend toward TGR more these days.

    TGR has avatars.

I'm only here. I hadn't even opened the other site since everything happened. But when this site got hacked I went over there to get the backdoor link. I see that Brett is still his same wonderful self.

Everybody has their own reasons for being here, there, or both. I have always liked this forum and I'm glad it's livened up. But it still has the same positive vibe it ever did. I just got a bad taste in my mouth over at Powder from TS crapping on all our trip reports this summer and causing so much trouble with Pinner. I know that's not Powder's fault, but that's where I'm at.

Honestly, I also like how this forum is clearly for skiers and riders. One big happy family.

This forum has fewer annoying teenagers from Louisiana. I find that neither have the activity or the content of days past.

Yeah, but if you saw the woman on the right ski, you'd be in love.

Haven't you read the PM board, Karl? This is the geriatric retirement home for old maggots.

Iceman - you haven't lost your step as a quick study; that dude on the right is a bad man/rock star - I think his businesses include head shops, escort services, kickwear clothing - truly larger than life! Fucking funny dude!

SheRa - I do like the fact that this place seems more like family - I guess my point is that we need to nurture and love this spot so we're not posting and waiting two days for a response. This is home. Also, since you bring it up, I think that you let TS get under your skin too much (I know there's more to it). But, as we all learned as children, you just have to ignore stuff or it will get you.

    Thanks for the responses.

For now, both work for me. I'm leaning more here, but Powder still has some people that are only there so it's worth checking out. It is increasingly becoming one big flame war though, with Brett/Blurred/whoever trying to become the alpha male and battling it out with the new JONG's, who may not be so new since a bunch of people lost their screen names. It's much more peaceful here, for now.

    But......
The biggest reason I'll stay here is that ONS hooked us up when we were in need. I may not ever be monogamous to just one, but I'll stay in touch with the one that's been there through the tough times. As much as I'd like to think differently, it's only a matter of time until Primedia shits on the maggots again.
I should probably change my username to IReallyDon'tTeleMuchAnymoreDave.

For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

I was always here ( view my posts per day even @ the 500 + point)
there was a core group of us here always including you. I always knew where to find ya.

I dont like Primedia, never did. I stopped subscribing because of missed & skinny issues, & content. so i had felt funny posting there. the whole revamp of the ASG group seemed very closely timed with google's taking over the ads on primedia, but hey who cares.

good people here & a product that is home grown Western US, and a good one @ that.

See, that's what I'm talking 'bout Woodsy. It's just that I would like to discreetly recruit a few more of our brethren/sistren over here to the dark side. Xover, Punani and a few utards come to mind.

Agree. Punani's tales of debauchery are one aspect I miss the most. Tell him to get his ass over here.

Pu throws his head in ocasionally & if ya look about a year ago when ONS redid a few things here ( dont have time now to look for it) Crossover spouts how much he likes this place better & how he hopes its always "core" & doesn't attract the " Teenagers & Gapers " that had come to that place lately.
    funny.

So, given the permanancy of the move for many people, what do we call ourselves?

Do we carry over the maggot name? Doesn't really seem fitting given it's connotations, but it has such a strong history.

I've seen minions kicked around a bit...what say you Artists formerly (or possibly still) know as Maggots?

I'm here because the people I want to talk to are all here. If everyone decides to go back to powmag that would be fine with me. I was never personally that up in arms about the whole deal, it's about the group not the site.

btw Karl although it's obvious that the people in that pic are indeed ' stoked ' but does that in fact make it ' stoke ' ???
