    Very cool. Glad I asked!

whats with all teh pictures of skis that have yet to touch snow (or rock, sand, water, grass, etc.).
that's not stoke, it's a tease. don't know if this counts, since you can't even see the skis

    Hey Pat,

Thanks for my clear tops. LOOOOOVE them. I tried to send you a PM thanks but your box was as full as Pam Anderson's. They are being mounted right now with some Look Pivots as we speak. I'm diggin' the new carbon weave lay up you've got there. I didn't realize you were doing all sorts of new weaves and flexes, and the added wind or waves or whatever is sweet. So, out of pure curiosity, are mine the standard flex, soft, stiff, 2 or 4 carbon layer? Not that it really matters since I had to change underwear as I fondled them... This is going to be the best winter of me life. Can't wait to post up some pics. T-Ride in February......all i can think about.

I know I shouldn't say anything negative, and I'm sorry for doing so, but the PM Gear Mountain peak logo plastered all over the tips...it kinda reminds me of the LV, Coach, Gucci monograms. How dare I criticize such an amazing ski though...

Yours are two layers of carbon and two of glass. That's been a standard flex for the hybrids.
Now we're blending multiple layers of lighter weight carbon fiber with glass layers to dial in soft and stiff flexes on the hybrids and different combinations of weaves on the all carbons. Our carbon fiber suppliers are skiers, so we're getting some enthusiastic engineering support. And I understand what you're saying about the logos.

Don't really know what kind of contest Avalncha en el Volcan in Chile was, but Clarnitty won the ladies division on her carbon hybrid SheJumps 179 Lhasa Pows. Congrats, Claire!

/\/\/\/\ I like it for all the flyyying and the magic. /\/\/\

The exposure, ice waterfalls, and obscurity as to how the fuck he got there all make it pretty god damn impressive.

holy crap look at the difference in those two skis: short rossis with naxo VS Lhasa and dynafit that almost counts as cheating. Any chance shes single?

It's a billygoat just out of frame left to get into the take off spot. The rest I will leave up to mystery.

Good stiff flex, perfect camber and an inkling of what we will do in the future....and the weights.......!

Been kinda busy building and shipping, but wanted to throw up a couple quick pics of the new 186 Lhasa Pow. It has five layers of carbon fiber and two layers of glass in the hybrid, way more torsional rigidity and a sweet universal flex with a just soft enough tip that will never warble on the hard snow but flex when it needs to. The body of the ski is stiff but neither over nor overtly stiff once you get below the tip. Weight stayed the same at 4.3 lbs per ski on the universal flex and we've done some soft versions that are around 4 lbs. We are shipping them in soft, universal and stiff flexes.

The twill carbon fiber we use under the clear nylon topsheet is a bitch to handle. A finger touch will basically unravel and hose the weave and show a tweaked weave if disturbed when it's used under a clear top, so we had threads added on square inch lines to allow it to be manhandled through the layup process. Now that we have our own carbon fiber weavers, we're looking forward to next years skis having even sicker clear-coat looks on much wilder carbon fiber weaves.
