Get your hands on them soon ladies and gentleman. Volkl is already sold out of the gotama in 190 and 183. Still in shops but the factory has apparently distributed all of them.

I called Volkl yesterday with my RA #. At first, they were not quite sure why my 190's hadn't been sent out yet( sent them in early Sept).

So I tell him it's dumping here in UT, and service rep. says "fkna! I've got a batch right here, and I'll send em Friday". Sounds promising to me.

ps I asked about a Sanouk upgrade. That guy sure likes to laugh!

sports loft in slc had a few that just came in. they are at retail, but i thought some of you might want to know. hopefully volkl accounted for their warranty pairs before they sold all of their stock.

Phew! Thanks for the info Tresckow. I'll get on it first thing Monday. Who knows, my shop may have just forgotten to call me. That's not like them though.

Oh, I got to fondle the Sanouks a couple of weeks ago. Trippy skis. The tails are STIFF as hell. Basically, I couldn't flex them. The tips though, totally different story. I'd really like to demo a pair just to see how that plays out.

Volkl always does this though, makes a very nice, super-desireable ski, that I cannot afford to buy retail, and can't order on form due to it's availibility.

Have to rob a rep.

Wish they would do two production runs, one mid-winter.

and too bad its such a sweet ride. probably the best one i have ridden latelly.

The shanooks weren't hucking skis
The Legends were too precise. i think its because of the shape of the tip. when floating in pow it was quite easy to make them sink or float.
Explosive exploded.

gotamas had it just right.

If anyone's looking, there is a pair of last year's Gotamas w/S900's for $400 in the Tahoe/Truckee Weekly. Says they were skied 2 times.

FYI - ski companies keep a warranty stock for most of the season. Sometimes you can pro form from that if you talk to a rep or are really sweet to customer service.

According to by peeps, all the warranty Gotamas will leave the EC Monday morning. Depending on if your shop uses a distribution center or not, they should be in your hands within 7-10 days.
