never been to Whistler, but how fucked do you think the lifts will be during the last few days of the Olympics?

Your best be is to look at the schedule of events. Alpine events at Whistler may largely be over by then. Lift impact of olympics might not be bad. Impact of thousands of vancouver olympic spectators heading up for a ski before going home might be brutal.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

if the hill gets some decent snow it will be worth the hassle of getting here, village is a gong show and as stated no one is skiing, lots of pow for the few....especially with the size here.....
