So I'll admit it. I had forsaken the man in black for many moons and looked at his new music with a skeptical eye. No artist's new music is ever good right? Well now I feel like the greatest ass in the world because i'm listening to American IV: The Man Comes Around and absolutely in love with it. From his covers of NIN's "Hurt" and Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" to original work like the "The man Comes around" every song on this album is so wrought with emotion it makes me want to cry.
What do the other Johnny (bless his soul) fans out there think of it?

haven't heard that album, but do have a lot of his newer, originial stuff. the quality is still fantastic.

Johnny wasn't releasing a new album every year so he could afford a couple new Ferraris and his harem of ho's. He was an artist, everything he laid down was from his heart and not about what he could put in his pocket. That's why his last stuff holds as much emotion as his earlier stuff.

Johnny Cash rules. I'm reading Cash, his autobio now, and it rocks. I also have this poster on the wall in my office, which I get crap for, but screw any morons that don't like Johnny.
