A Funny in Skiing

Flipping through the maggot-rich Skiing (congrats to all, btw), I come upon the rankings for the top resorts in the east. Just the vital stats on the usual suspects with a picture accompanying each. These pictures are, of course, of skiers in pow, skiers in the air, and skiers just generally skiing.

Except for Tremblant. For them it's a shot of the gondola.

I chuckled.

I thought the same thing about the Squaw Valley shot. Everyone else gets deep pow and sweet lines, but Squaw, a place that certainly isn't lacking in big air and steep, nasty lines, gets a a dark, somewhat blurred tree shot with Ingrid Backstrom hopping off a seemingly small drop. Odd.

well, it is a damn fine gondola.
