Just maybe somebody can save me hours of googling...
Anyone know if there are inexpensive data acquisition systems that can store a decent amount of data onboard, rather than streaming it out to a PC? I'm not talking much data, about a 1MB. Then, after the data has been collected, I could hookup a PC and download it to the hard drive.
This sounds so simple. There's got to be something like that out there.
My father does a lot of this...the latest system he put together had PC104 (or something similar) boxes at the measurement site writing to either removeable media or they had an ethernet connection, forget which.
365, those are getting closer, but I don't want something that has to interface to a PDA. Basically just have 8 analog input voltage channels and be able to write it to either a flash card (or something like that) or a jump drive as DB pointed out.
Actually have found a few, but there's got to be loads out there if I knew where to look.
