    Unhappy

Would this be a callous time to remind everyone of the importance of protecting skin and eyes from the sun?

I have no doubt you'll beat it. You are so healthy in mind and body, that you'll steamroll it. I've had fam with melanomas, but they ALL beat it too. When I was in oncology classes in the early 70s,a melanoma was bad news. Now days, with all they've learned, it's very treatable. Hang tough, and we'll all be making turns in the next week or two.

I'll pass on the extra love the others sent me too. It really helps.

    Hi Altachic,

I am so sorry to hear that you have to worry about something other than when it will snow in your beloved Wasatch.

Like GT40 said, you will definitely overcome this obstacle like the champion person that you are - I am so totally confident of that and I don't even personally know you -- yet

Mrs. Stall and I, and our 4-yr-old are stoked to make turns with you in early December.

    Best of luck!

    Lots of Love,
    KS (RK)

altachic: it's all about the attitude. When they told my mom she had a three percent chance of living more than 4 months, she said "Fuck that." That was about 6 or 7 years ago now. From what I know about you, you sound like my mom. If you could stay positive from your ACL injury, and work hard enough to have it looking good now, you can beat this.

a couple tips I picked up from watching my mom:

    1) If it comes to it, try everything. my mom was on shark cartilage pills for a while, then she had a stem cell transplant when it was in its experimental stages. She was one of the first to undergo the procedure.

    2) Stay strong: You can do it.

    3) Enjoy yourself as much as possible: don't stress. Stress ain't healthy, and there's no point worrying too much. Be aware, be worried (it's only normal), but don't let it run your life.

Good luck. You have an army behind you.

Hang tough 'Chic- we went through this with Ms. Hellfire's mom a year or so ago- melanoma on the top of her head, under her hair, so by the time they found it things were pretty bad...And she kicked the shit out of it. I know that someone with as killer an attitude as yours will be fine. Sometime life can throw some nasty curves, but think about sitting someday while your grandchildren look on in awe as granddad tells them about you stomping 40-footers...Man, that'll be cool.

    I'm there for you AC.
Besides, nothing's going to beat down the sunshine of your love, yours is too strong. Focus on the good things, keep strong and we'll see you with that stoopid, unbeatable grin beaming out across the snowlines.

Good luck girl! from what I know of you, you're as tough as they come, with about as much love and support backing you up as one could hope for. You'll kick it! And if you don't, we'll kick the shit out of it for you! Our thoughts are with you.

My thoughts and positive vibes are with you.

AC, it is ok to cry.

It is ok to be scared.

Try to take it one step at a time and deal with the facts. try not to let your imagination get the best of you.

    Good luck.
