i need some loving vibes...i've never been this serious.

got a call from my mom and dermatologist today...i had 2 small moles removed last week, i was thinking they weren't a problem, but, in fact one was, it was melanoma. I'm seeing a cancer specialist on monday, and he will be cutting into my arm next week, hoping i don't need chemo, but may look that way....everything i worry about and think is a concern is so small now, i've never even thought about this sort of thing(except for reading Lance Armstrongs books). Say some prayers, send some love........i did see my ortho today and he said my knee looks fabulous, that's always a bonus. I'll update later on.

I got your back, you know that. My best friends wife just kicked breast cancer at age 26. It has been a long year for her and lost her breast, but will be getting reconstruction. She is a fighter, like you. Love and prayers sent. You know my number, you need anything, you call anytime, got it??

We are all behind you Liz and we love you. Keep that chin up.

I'll talk to ya soon. Hang in there.

Best of luck Liz. That sucks. Let us know how it goes.

I had a couple of moles removed a little while back and while none of them were cancerous one grew back and looks kind-of nasty and it itches too.

Love and good vibe being sent from here, altachic. From what I know of you on the boards I think you'll be fine. We'll ski this winter if I can make it out to Utah.

Hang in there. I had a spot removed on my face last year that turned out to be melanoma, I automatically freaked. After several tests it turned out to have not spread. I wish you all of the best, be strong.
My prayers are with you. It is really scary stuff!!

    Best of luck, big hug!

telee is right altachic, it might turn out to not be as bad as you think. I had a mole removed on my shoulder 4 years ago that was melanoma, but had not spread either.

i'm actually pretty calm, want to cry, but i'm here at work....the doc says it's most likely spread, so that's all i can go by, but i will continue thinking good things until i know everything and after they cut in.

best of luck, definately try to maintain a postive outlook. my dad's been struggling with carcinoma and melanoma scheiss for a few years now - a few serious ops, lots o' CAT scans, checkups, etc. if he wouldn't have stayed positive, we wouldn't be making turns together this year ...

I'll be sure to send love and prayers your way. But frankly, you don't really need them. For someone as amazing and positive minded as you, any contribution I could offer is so miniscule as to be insignificant. There's just too much stoke in that body of yours.

However, if by some impossible chance you're doubting a positive outcome right now just remember...a hearty ARRRRRRRR!!! will fix everything.

Luv you, altachic. Let me know how the prognosis turns out. I have some heavy alternative medicine connections I'd be happy to turn you onto. My gf Kate has been fighting breast cancer for 8 years through homeopathy and is doing very well.

    Hugs.............

Here's hoping for a full and complete recovery (or preferrably no recovery required). Early detection and treatment is the key.

Say strong, stay health and above all stay positive. You have my best wishes.

I've got a couple moles that I (and my doc) have my eyes on. So far no unusual growth.

You will beat it. I have a bud who is 5 years out from a malignant melanoma on his leg. He is completely cancer free now and unashamedly smokes 2 packs of Marlboro reds a day.

I don't mean to say you should start smoking, but if that guy can beat it, you should have no problem.
