    Question tvmountain video format

    Hi
I have just been browsing the tvmountain site and loads of the video seems to have been changed to links starting with rtsp:// like rtsp://real.tvmountain.com/tvm/simond/clip.rm which dont work in my Internet Explorer or in Mozilla. Does anyone know anything about this protocol/format and how it works?
    Phil

i just realised that its not really skiing related apart from the fact that there were loads of good skiing clips on it.

RTSP is the Real Time Streaming Protocol, and the file extension is Real Media...try downloading the free client (http://www.real.com/).

Be careful...the Real client is notorious for wanting to be the default player for things like MP3 files.

i have got the free real player, which plays some of the files on the site like the one on this page
    http://www.tvmountain.com/glisse/raide/gerva.htm
but it doesn't play the one with the link just under the tv screen where it says '256k pour les gros débits' and links to rtsp://real.tvmountain.com/tvm/adsl/raide/gerva1.rm

do you have to have the radio version of real player that you have to pay for after 14 days?

The free player does play these files...just tested it.

Open the player, go to "File...Open..." and copy/paste the URL. It should work.
