    all wheel drive Mini
I saw the Countryman too. I thought it needed the Clubman rear doors, and a ski pass through. Maybe it'll get the John Cooper Works treatmment.
    city people and their cars
Yeah, the booming fucking metropolis of Winthrop. I guess when I shrink to 5'9" and need a loaded gun at night to sleep, I'll get a pick-up.

Uh huh, sure. Sign me up.
Sounds like you need a car with 18" of travel

sounds like a cool car, but am I the only one who thinks VW's are way over priced? (yes, I have driven one)
A Jetta TDI is about $25K with a few options. $25k for a Jetta? I'll get the WRX (which is a more capable car). Yes, I'm aware that Subarus are also outrageously overpriced, a base WRX not so much.
    No longer stuck.

My fiancée has a 2008 vw jetta. It doesn't drive very well, as the power steering is overactive. It has been in the shop multiple times for various electric gremlins. It has mystery dashboard rattles that are annoying that I can't seem to figure out, let alone the retards at the dealer. My advice? Don't buy an overpriced piece of crap. They aren't that cool.
    sigless.

This car is nothing like that car, except for the nameplate.

Hard to say, and pricing in another country is not a good indicator. Add faster engine, better brakes, AWD, etc. to a GTI, and you get too much $$.
    I don't care.
